Heated Towel Rails

Why Do You Need A Heated Towel Rail?
• DRY your towels – when there is rain, humidity or cold climates heated towel rails keep your towels dry
• HYGIENIC ENVIRONMENT – dry your towel and prevent a damp breeding ground for germs and mold
• SAVE WATER – you won’t need to wash your bath towel as often as it will always be dry
• SAVE ELECTRICITY – there is no need to use a 3000W tumble dryer to dry your towels after a bath

The different two types of heating technology for independently heated towel rails.

1. Dry Element Technology
Bathroom Butler uses DET (Dry Element Technology) due to its efficiency in providing heat rapidly, directly, and most importantly efficiently.

How Does it work?
Dry Element Technology or abbreviated as DET simply put is a length of special purpose heating wire that is installed within the heated towel rail. This is a similar principle to that used in under floor heating. When the power is turned on the wire heats up whichin turn heats up the towel rail.

2. Wet Element Technology (Fluid Filled)
Bathroom Butler discontinued its range of independently heated fluid filled towel rails in 2007 due to the unmatched advantages found in DET. The unmatched advantages of DET were recognized by retailers and consumers which resulted in a lack of demand of the independently heated fluid filled towel rails.

How Does it work?
Fluid Filled heated towel rails had been the most common method of heating an independently electrically heated towel rail in past. The heating of the towel rail is achieved by immersing a cartridge element into a heat transfer fluid such as oil or water.

The element then heats up and in turn heats up the surrounding heat transfer fluid, similar to the principle used in electrical hotwater geysers. The heating up of the fluid causes convection currents to form which moves the fluid around inside the heated towel rail and so distributes the heat within the heated towel rail.

The SEVEN UNMATCHED advantages of DET
• Rapid heating
• Direct Intelligent Heating
• No Fluid / No Leaking
• Controllable
• 100% Serviceable
• Install Upside Down
• Quite Operation
